Army of Compassion Community Outreach was founded in 2025 from a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to face hardship alone. Our founder story reveals a deep understanding of the struggles within our communities, as they witnessed countless individuals facing challenges in silence. Seniors found themselves isolated without support, families were forced to choose between food and bills, individuals lacked transportation to crucial appointments, and many simply needed someone willing to provide compassion services and lend a helping hand.
What struck our founder most was not only the financial burdens people faced, but the emotional toll of feeling invisible and neglected. Rather than turning a blind eye, our founder decided to take action.
What began as small acts of kindness—checking on neighbors, delivering essentials, helping families connect with resources, and offering encouragement during tough times—quickly blossomed into a broader mission focused on community support with compassion, dignity, and consistency.
This mission evolved into the Army of Compassion Community Outreach we know today. Currently, we continue to serve individuals and families seeking support, hope, and valuable human connection. We believe that real change occurs when people unite to care for one another, particularly during life’s most challenging moments.
Every donation we receive facilitates essential assistance, outreach programs, community support services, and resources for those who might otherwise go without help.
Every volunteer becomes a vital part of a movement steeped in compassion. And every person we serve reinforces why this work is so essential.

Meet the Founder & Executive Director
De' Shara B. Hoskins
De' Shara Hoskins is a woman whose life journey has been shaped by struggle, resilience, faith, compassion, and an unwavering determination to turn pain into purpose.
Raised in the North Philadelphia area, De' Shara experienced many sides of life while growing up. Having lived in North, South, and West Philadelphia, as well as spending time in Los Angeles and South Carolina, she was exposed to two very different worlds — poverty and financial stability. These experiences provided her with a unique understanding of the hardships that many families face while also revealing what hope, opportunity, and perseverance can accomplish.
Life was not always easy.
As a young single mother of two, De' Shara faced homelessness and uncertainty firsthand. She understands what it feels like to struggle silently and to worry about how to provide for your children without knowing where to turn for help. These difficult moments left a lasting impact on her heart and deepened her compassion for others who are going through similar challenges.
But her story did not end there.
Through faith, resilience, determination, and the support of loved ones, De' Shara rebuilt her life. Today, she is a devoted wife and proud mother of ten children, fully aware of the importance of family, community support, and having someone who genuinely cares.
One of her greatest inspirations was her grandmother—her father's mother—who owned and operated her own business. Watching her grandmother build something meaningful planted a seed in De' Shara at a young age. She knew she wanted to create something that could not only provide for her family but also make a real difference in the lives of others through compassion services.
That dream became Army of Compassion Community Outreach.
De' Shara founded the organization with a mission rooted in empathy and lived experience. She recognizes that many people are just one hardship away from needing support, encouragement, or help. Her goal is to ensure that individuals and families facing challenging times feel seen, valued, supported, and never forgotten.
Her story is one of survival, transformation, and compassion — a testament that even the hardest seasons in life can serve as the foundation for helping others heal and rise.
