ARMY OF COMPASSION COMMUNITY OUTREACH Transforming Lives

Founders

Army of Compassion Community Outreach was founded in 2025 from a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to face hardship alone.

Our founder witnessed firsthand how many people in our communities were struggling quietly. There are seniors isolated without support, families choosing between food and bills, individuals without transportation to important appointments, and people simply needing someone to care enough to help.

What stood out most was not only the financial hardship that was faced, but the emotional weight of feeling unseen and forgotten.

Instead of turning away, our founder chose to act.

What began as small acts of kindness such as checking on neighbors, delivering essentials, helping families connect with resources, offering encouragement during difficult times, quickly grew into a larger mission to serve the community with compassion, dignity, and consistency.

That mission became Army of Compassion Community Outreach.

Today, we continue to serve individuals and families who need support, hope, and human connection. We believe real change happens when people come together to care for one another, especially during life’s most difficult moments.

Every donation helps provide essential assistance, outreach programs, community support services, and resources to those who may otherwise go without help.

Every volunteer becomes part of a movement rooted in compassion.

And every person we serve reminds us why this work matters.

We are more than an outreach organization, we are a community of people committed to lifting others up, restoring hope, and making sure no one feels forgotten.

Because sometimes the smallest act of compassion can change someone’s entire life.

Meet the Founder & Executive Director

De' Shara B. Hoskins

De' Shara Hoskins is a woman whose life journey has been shaped by struggle, resilience, faith, compassion, and an unwavering determination to turn pain into purpose.

Raised in the North Philadelphia area, De' Shara experienced many sides of life while growing up. Having lived in North, South, and West Philadelphia, as well as spending time living and attending school in both Los Angeles and South Carolina, she was exposed to two very different worlds — poverty and financial stability. Those experiences gave her a unique understanding of the hardships many families face, while also showing her what hope, opportunity, and perseverance could achieve.

Life was not always easy.

As a young single mother of two children, De' Shara experienced homelessness and uncertainty firsthand. She knows what it feels like to struggle silently, to worry about providing for your children, and to face difficult days without knowing where help would come from. Those moments left a lasting impact on her heart and deepened her compassion for others going through similar challenges.

But her story did not end there.

Through faith, resilience, determination, and the support of loved ones, De' Shara rebuilt her life. Today, she is a devoted wife and proud mother of ten children who understands the importance of family, community, and having someone who truly cares.

One of her greatest inspirations was her grandmother — her father’s mother — who owned and operated her own business. Watching her grandmother build something meaningful planted a seed in De' Shara at a young age. She knew she wanted to create something that could not only provide for her family, but also make a real difference in the lives of others.

That dream became Army of Compassion Community Outreach.

De' Shara founded the organization with a mission rooted in empathy and lived experience. She understands that many people are only one hardship away from needing help, encouragement, or support. Her goal is to ensure that individuals and families facing difficult times feel seen, valued, supported, and never forgotten.

Her story is one of survival, transformation, and compassion — proof that even the hardest seasons in life can become the foundation for helping others heal and rise.

Because for De' Shara, this work is more than outreach — it is personal.
